Ho fotografato gli animali nel loro habitat naturale, animali selvatici e domestici, per rappresentarne l’ordinaria bellezza staccandomi dalla visione edulcorata e fiabesca con cui siamo stati abituati a guardarli e raccontarli.
Ogni immagine deriva da un incontro casuale, avvenuto quasi inciampando nella loro presenza minima.
Giorno dopo giorno ho imparato a riconoscerne le abitudini. Ne ho ammirato la tenacia e la voglia di non cedere anche quando recuperare il cibo o nascondersi diventa difficile per l’incedere dell’inverno.
Ne ho avvertito infine lo sguardo vigile di diffidenza verso la bestia umana.
I photographed these animals in their natural habitat, wild and domestic animals, to represent their ordinary beauty by detaching myself from the sweetened and fairytale vision with which we were used to looking at them and telling them.
Each image derives from a chance encounter, which occurred almost stumbling in their minimal presence.
Day after day I learned to recognize their habits. I admired the tenacity and the desire not to give in even when recovering food or hiding becomes difficult for the pace of winter.
I finally felt the vigilant look of distrust towards the human beast.
